When Hannah first came to yoga, she was a stressed out, overworked college student, with debilitating allergies and asthma. Yoga began as a way to seek relief from physical stress, and led to a continued practice of setting limits and finding balance, both physically and mentally. As a former dancer and private chef, Hannah enjoys the ways yoga philosophy can be woven into the fabric of life. Currently pursuing a Master’s in Social Work to become a licensed clinician, yoga continues to provide them with supportive tools for personal growth both mentally and spiritually.
Hannah teaches classes that are at once accessible and meaningful. Initially drawn to the practice of Anusara yoga for its elegant system of physical alignment and technique, Hannah’s passion also extends to the realm of the subtle body, exploring nuance through restorative practices, meditation and Ayurveda. Hannah’s classes offer each student an opportunity to embrace their unique growing edge. Building confidence and stability, exploring flexibility and sensitivity are key themes in all of their classes. Hannah is an experienced teacher of adult students of all ages and different abilities and integrates tools of yoga into her career in mental health.
Hannah has led yoga retreats globally, and is an experienced yoga teacher with over 1000 hrs of training and 20 years of teaching experience. She has worked in community mental health with older adults and teaches classes in Brooklyn, NY and online. They look forward to completing an MSW in 2025.
